Not exactly . . . You will be notified of your eligibility for COBRA Benefits, but you will also need to elect to participate in the plan.

Once You Qualify to Receive COBRA Benefits:

• Your former employer will have thirty days to notify the COBRA plan administrator.
• The COBRA plan administrator will have fourteen days to notify you of your status.
• You’ll have sixty days to decide whether or not you’d like to participate in COBRA.
• If you decide on COBRA coverage, you’ll have forty-five days to make your initial payment.
