What are the Differences Between What's a Group Health Plan?
Generally speaking, a Group Health Plan can be defined as an insurance policy
that offers healthcare benefits to most of an employer’s workforce. Your
employer will usually be required to pay some portion of your plan’s
premium (between 50% and 70% on average) and you will usually have to work
a minimum number of hours per week (usually enough to be considered full time)
in order to qualify for the plan.
In many states, Group Plans are "Guaranteed Issue", meaning that
an Insurance Carrier cannot turn down applicants. |
